Lucy graduated from RMIT University in 2017 after moving to Melbourne from the southern highlands of NSW to pursue her career in Osteopathy having previously completed a Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science) at the University of Wollongong.
Lucy’s background in exercise science not only furthered her passion for healthy living, exercise and sports but provided her with a strong foundation in exercise rehabilitation, human anatomy and strength and conditioning. Upon completing this course, Lucy participated in several work placements including personal training and strength and conditioning with elite young athletes at the Illawarra Academy of Sport.
Lucy’s passion for Osteopathy developed after seeing the benefits of treatment for several family members and herself. What appeals most to Lucy is the holistic approach to health that Osteopathy provides and it’s ability to empower people to get the most out of every day, whatever that may be.
Lucy loves being a part of the Osteopaths of Ivanhoe team and enjoys treating a wide variety of patients including younger children, elderly patients, athletes, weekend warriors, tradies and office workers.
In the future, Lucy is looking forward to continuing to treat the varied patients that Osteopathy attracts and in particular, plans to further her knowledge in paediatrics and women’s health.
In her spare time Lucy loves seeing family and friends, watching live music, keeping active with swimming, hiking, netball and making the most of what Melbourne has to offer.
Lucy has completed further training in Post Natal Treatment (Effective Post Partum Management for Manual Therapists), Personal Training (Certificate III and IV) from NSW TAFE and a Bachelor of Science (Exercise Science) at the University of Wollongong.
