Lucy is a 5th year osteopathy student at RMIT who moved to Melbourne from the Southern Highlands of NSW after graduating from a bachelor of exercise science at University of Wollongong in 2013.
Lucy’s background in exercise science gave her a solid foundation in functional anatomy and rehabilitation combined with a passion for healthy living. Her interest in osteopathy developed after seeing treatment benefit several members of her immediate family.
What appeals most to Lucy is the holistic approach to health that Osteopathy provides and it’s ability to empower people to get the most out of everyday, whatever that may be.
By participating in the internship program at Osteopaths of Ivanhoe, Lucy is excited to build on the clinical knowledge and experience she has gained from the RMIT student clinic over the past 2 years and become part of such a passionate team.
In the future, Lucy is looking forward to treating the variety of patients that osteopathy attracts and in particular, is curious to learn more about paediatrics and women’s health.
In her spare time, Lucy loves spending time with family and friends, seeing live music, keeping active with swimming and netball, and making the most of living in Melbourne.
