The capability and biomechanics of the human body are at their greatest form during pregnancy - as Osteopaths caring for patients during this process puts us in our element to assist.

We offer an extended appointment for pregnant women:

Initial Appointment: 60 minutes
Return Appointments: 45 minutes

  • Decreasing muscle tension, improving joint function and therefore reducing pain or discomfort.
  • Addressing postural imbalances by helping the body find optimal function around the new and changing center of gravity
  • Birth and labor preparation via optimising pelvic mechanics, strengthening and enhancing mobility.
  • Education around pelvic floor strengthening, support aids and garments, ergonomic changes and lifestyle modifications.

RECOVERY PUMP

Overview

Recovery Pumps are cutting edge compression therapy currently being utilised by many elite athletes around the world. This approach is scientifically proven to be the fastest recovery method from training or game related soreness.

Controlled pressure is sequentially delivered via inflatable compression pants starting at the feet and moving upward, increasing circulation to the muscles of the legs. The enhanced blood flow flushes out any toxins that have built up during prior exercise, resulting in a reduction in muscular soreness and fatigue.

For the active person this means a shorter turnaround and recovery time between training and games, reduced risk of injury and enhanced athletic performance.

Recovery pumps are a great way to address general soreness for a range of sports including AFL, Soccer, Cricket, Basketball, Netball, Running, Cycling, Triathlon and Gym/Crossfit.

Targeted Issues

  • FASTER RECOVERY
  • TIGHTNESS OF HAMSTRINGS, QUADS AND CALVES
  • MUSCLE FATIGUE
  • LACTIC ACID
  • LEG CRAMPS
  • DOMS (DELAYED ONSET MUSCLE SORENESS)
  • PERFORMANCE OPTIMISATION
